Nakshatra नक्षत्र
The zodiac divided the way Indian astrology actually reads it — twenty-seven asterisms of 13°20′ each, the Moon’s daily stations. Every nakṣatra below carries its exact degrees and rāśi, its Vimśottarī lord, its presiding devatā, the four pādas with their navāṁśa, and what the texts say of the native born under it — each statement linked to the verse it came from.

How the 27 are grouped
The same twenty-seven, sorted three ways the text itself sorts them: by varṇa, by the kind of act each is fit for, and by the direction each holds on the kūrma-cakra — the map a mundane reading uses to say which part of the land an omen falls on.

- Miśra mixed 97.11
- Kṛttikā, Viśākhā Fit for: the mixed soft-and-sharp group; it produces mixed results.
- Cara movable 97.11
- Śravaṇa, Dhaniṣṭhā, Śatabhiṣā, Punarvasu, Svātī Fit for: movable undertakings — travel, vehicles, and whatever must go and come.
Verse 11 is where the witnesses part. The Sanskrit this site holds gives the movable group as the three Śravaṇa asterisms with ādityā (Punarvasu) and anila (Svātī) — Hasta is not among them, verse 9 having already placed it with the light ones. The 1884 Chidambaram Iyer translation printed on the muhūrta page reads Hasta there in place of Punarvasu, which is why that table shows Hasta twice and leaves Punarvasu without a group. Each page prints the source it names; neither is edited to agree with the other.

What this page rests on
Devatā, the character of the native, the persons and things of each asterism, the varṇa grouping, the karma-guṇa classes and the kūrma-cakra direction are all read from Bṛhat Saṁhitā — chapters 14, 15, 97 and 100 — as carried verse by verse in this site’s own library, and every one of them links to its verse. Vimśottarī lords are the standard sequence; gaṇa, yoni and nāḍī come from the milan tables with their own citations. Spans, rāśis, pādas and navāṁśas are arithmetic, not doctrine. The symbol, the star identification and the nāmākṣara syllables are traditional pañcāṅga material that Horā has not traced to a classical verse — they say so on their own rows. Nothing here is invented to fill a gap.
