Terms of use

Last updated 30 August 2026

1. What Vedic Horā is

Vedic Horā is software that computes Vedic astrological charts, renders classical interpretive rules, and connects you with independently reviewed astrologers for live consultation. It is offered for study, reflection and cultural interest.

2. Accounts

You must be capable of entering a binding contract under the law that applies to you (in India, this generally means 18 years or older) to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in access to your own email; tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation. One account is for one person.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Horā for personal and professional study. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, or resell its output as your own automated service. A documented developer API is planned for legitimate programmatic use.

4. Astrologer consultations

Astrologers reachable through “Consult an astrologer” have applied and been reviewed by our moderators, but each is an independent professional, not Horā's employee — the conduct of a session is between you and them. Horā screens applications for stated qualifications and experience but does not warrant the outcome of any individual consultation. Payment for a session, and what happens if it is cancelled or missed, is governed by the refund & cancellation policy.

5. Accuracy

The astronomical computations are performed with the ephemeris and are tested. The interpretations are renderings of classical rules, and where traditions differ, the convention Horā follows is disclosed in the reading. No warranty is given that any interpretation is correct, complete or applicable to your circumstances.

6. No professional advice

Nothing produced by Horā, including anything an astrologer tells you in a consultation booked through the platform, is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. See the disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

7. Availability

Horā is provided as-is and as-available. It may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn.

8. Intellectual property

The classical texts Horā draws on are ancient and in the public domain. The software, the rule digitisation, the wording of the readings and the design are the property of the project. Charts and readings generated for you are yours to use.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Aatmik Intelligence LLP harmless against any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the project is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, Horā’s output, or from the conduct of any astrologer consultation booked through the platform.

11. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for a failure to perform caused by circumstances genuinely beyond its reasonable control, including outages at a hosting or payment provider we depend on.

12. Grievance redressal

Complaints about content or conduct on the platform can be raised with our Grievance Officer — see the contact page for their name, address and the acknowledgement/resolution timeline we follow under India's IT Rules, 2021.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

14. Severability

If any clause of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continue to apply.

15. Amendment

These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use of Horā after a change is posted is acceptance of it. A change that materially narrows your rights will be flagged on this page with its revision date, not silently applied.

16. Entire agreement

These terms, together with the privacy policy, disclaimer and refund & cancellation policy, are the entire agreement between you and Aatmik Intelligence LLP regarding use of Vedic Horā.
